Francis Underwood (Kevin Spacey) has gone to stay a few days with Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney) in order to evaluate the latter as a candidate for the vice presidency. Or so he thinks. In reality it is the other way around. But never mind, that is all beside the point.<\/p>\n

The point is: Decisions made solely on gut feeling or instinct are often poor decisions, leaving out many relevant guiding factors. And decisions made solely on collected data are usually poor decisions as well, as data needs to be interpreted and that interpretation to some extent requires some instinct (experience that is).<\/p>\n

The scene is the Tusk-estate in St. Louis:<\/p>\n
